The Cost chart tells you whether your projects are under or over budget. It displays the Actual, Planned and Budgeted Cost as follows:

Actual
The actual cost of your project is calculated by combining:

  • Person Cost: To update this, either change the hourly rate for each person on the People page, or change the Actual Hours for each task in your Project
  • Task Cost: To update this, change the Actual Cost for each task.

Planned
The planned cost of your project is the summarized:

  • Person Cost: To update this, either change the hourly rate for each person on the People page, or change the Planned Hours for each task in the Project.
  • Task Cost: To update this this, change the Planned Cost for each task.

Budget
This is the amount that you have entered on the "Budget" field on the Project Settings page.
